Me: What is that ? It's KITE abi ? You'll use Nylon and broom.
Shekinah: (Shook his head right-left in disagreement) No, not kite ...This thing ehm ehm ... that can fly ...
Me: So you don't even know what you want to search, hissed.
Shekinah: Just type (an object the flies),Google may bring it out.
I kept mute and he understood it to be that I've stopped listening to him. Shekinah pestered for several days. I'll assure him that I'll help him search but I never did.
I launched my chrome and check the browse history and saw a long history of searches on "HOW TO MAKE A DRONE" (I'm not sure that's was the assignment though, the boy is too adventurous) then it clicked. SHEKINAH !!!
"If you are going to pay for it with your wasted data, I think it is well deserved".
At this point, I was quiet, I didn't even try to scold him because I felt it was my fault. I was also recalled a time when I was asked what class he is in (Shekinah) and I could barely remember.
I remember a day I was walking on the road and I heard a bike rider shout on a school boy that was walking to school; "Omo school, going to school by 10 am ... ahhh", he shouted.
I turned to see the boy and he was still walking at a slow pace.
That boy could be in a house where his parents leave for work as early as 7 a.m. and return as late as 10 p.m. and in a situation like there is no proper guidance.
It has even gotten worse to the extent that some parents now encourage their children to go to school late. You will hear "Take your time, don't worry I'll drop you in school. Nobody will beat you".
